Account Manager at focusgov

We have a number of opportunities for account managers with different levels of experience to join our friendly, enthusiastic and growing team. 

You might have several years agency experience as an Account Manager or Account Executive, or looking for a more Junior role looking to kick off a career in digital account management and sales. We’ll be looking for people who are self-motivated, pro-active and want to play a significant part in continuing the growth of our business.

You’ll be working with and supported by our Senior Account Manager, however you'll be expected to manage your own times, deadlines and workload and to ensure you meet other team members and clients needs. We are ISO9001:2008 certified.

The responsibilities of the role will of course be dependent on your experience, but typically we’d be looking for an account manager to be:

  •  - working as a day-to-day contact for a number of our clients.
  •  - providing a bridge between our clients and the technical team, actioning work requests, offering advice, help and support.
  •  - building positive and solid relationships with our clients and understanding their business.
  •  - using digital to create and take ownership of effective campaigns for both our clients and the business.
  •  - writing up quotes and proposals.
  •  - leading client meetings.
  •  - social media and blogging.
  •  - generating and interpreting reports.
  •  - new business sales.
  •  - other administrative bits and bobs.

Personal Qualities

As mentioned we are keen to hear from applicants with differing levels of previous experience - that said, we would hope to see people who have a genuine enthusiasm and interest in digital and social media.

It goes without saying you’ll have really good organisation skills and be able to communicate with personality and warmth. 

More experienced account managers will need to demonstrate a number of years of client handling and a proven record of delivering projects and campaigns.

Some of our work involves participation and engagement with specific user groups - such as parents or young people - which will mean you will probably need to undergo a DBS check.

Any experience of digital marketing and / or social media would be an advantage.

The salary we’re offering for this role isn’t fixed but we’d expect to be paying between £20k to £30k based on experience offered.
