Go Places to Play.
Go Places to Play is the new way for local authorities to join together and promote a healthy lifestyle to families throughout the UK.
Promoting healthier activities for families and children.
Get your parks, open spaces and green areas listed and searchable for local families, children and young people. Be seen to be promoting positive, outdoor and low cost healthy activities and encourage play to counter childhood obesity.
A 'Go Places to Play' service local to you.
Populate the interactive 'Go Places' map with the location of your parks, playgrounds, open spaces and green spaces. Publish information about what can be found there including photographs, parking details, local transport, sports facilities and disabled access.
Easy to set-up, quick to deploy, simple to manage
Upload your existing database of parks and playgrounds for a quick start and minimise administration by inviting event organisers to publish events to the interactive calendar. Use the integrated content management system to moderate events, update park information and publish news.
Feedback on your parks from those that use them.
Go Places to Play includes a number of feedback mechanisms that makes it easy for parents to send comments and thoughts about their parks and green spaces and the facilities available. This valuable feedback provides service teams with opportunties for engagement and responding to public feedback.
A collaborative effort for local authorities everywhere.
As well as local 'Go Places to Play' sites we want to create a national resource of park, playground and green space information for families everywhere - fronting a national push to help our children lead healthier lives. Your local authority has a chance to be part of that campaign.
Quality assurance with ISO9001:2008
All projects are governed by our ISO9001:2008 certified quality management systems. We have been supplying the public sector since 2004 and our products and services are available on the UK Government's Digital Marketplace.
Go Places to Play - Bristol
Originally created to publicise positive activities, Bristol City Council's Go Places to Play now lists just over one hundred parks, playgrounds and green spaces that can be found throughout the city and the surrounding area.
As well as searching for their nearest park, and by postcode, parents can also filter the parks list by the facilities available - such as only viewing parks with a cafe, or BMX track, basketball court or disabled toilets.
There is also specific information and listings about adventure playgrounds and a feed of latest news and events for families in Bristol.
The Photo Gallery is used to showcase new works and upgrades at parks and playgrounds as well as specific events such as the annual Bristol Play Day.
